Meet Our Animal Ambassadors
Our animals are our family
One of the secrets to the success of our programming is our incredible animal family. Each of our animals plays an integral role of helping our guests feel invited, loved and understood. Our mission is designed to help heal and restore, and we couldn’t do that without our horses. Interacting with farm animals reduces stress and has also been shown to improve social skills. Children who participate in animal-assisted programs often show increased empathy and compassion toward others.

Lute is a gentle giant who is trained to drive.
Breed: Percheron
Stats: 21 hands high / 2300 lbs
Distinguishing Characteristics: star on forehead; pair with Gunner; getting more comfortable carrying riders, uncomfortable around things he perceives as bigger than himself such as large trucks carrying loads on the ranch.

Pongo is a saddle horse used primarily for children.
Breed: Leopard Appaloosa gelding pony
Stats: 13 hands
Distinguishing Characteristics: Best friend of Mr. Big; loves to spar with the draft horses; has a bit of a Napoleon complex with his giant personality and his pony stature.

Mira is our adorable saddle horse for children and she also drives.
